Biography-
The Crystal Palace String Quartet was founded by graduates of Britain's top music colleges. Their shared passion for chamber music allowed them to acquire an extensive repertoire and to gain experience in providing live music for all kinds of events, ranging from weddings, civil partnerships, parties and corporate functions to band music, sessions, and TV.
Their repertoire ranges from Baroque to Bollywood and covers nearly every imaginable genre in between. The Crystal Palace Quartet mainly play for events in London and the Southeast but are willing to travel anywhere within the UK. They are also active on the concert platform, performing public recitals in London.
The Crystal Palace Quartet have performed at a wide variety of functions for audiences that have included past and current presidents, prime ministers and senior royalty. Past bookings include several multi-week cruises with Saga Cruise Lines, weddings at Clearwell Castle (Gloucestershire), Addington Palace (Surrey) and the Institute of Directors (London), a garden party at the BBC Television Centre and recording sessions for Chris Singleton and The Nites.

Founded in Birmingham in 2000 award winning Swing Trio Fret & Fiddle draw inspiration from the small string bands of the 30"'s and 40"'s, and particularly from the most famous of all: the Quintette du Hot Club de France featuring Stéphane Grappelli and Django Reinhardt. Their repertoire consists of songs that Grappelli played during his 75-year career - from Gypsy Jazz to the top hits of Cole Porter, Rodgers & Hart, George Gershwin and Hoagy Carmichael and Grappelli"'s own songs.
Fret & Fiddle have performed at many concert halls and have shared stages with members of E.L.O, Eric Clapton, Gong, Fapy Lafertin, Tchavolo Schmitt, The Rosenbergs, they have played at corporate events for Alternative Holidays – Sicily, The Nightingale Club – Birmingham, Barclays Bank, The I.C.C, Gardeners World for the B.B.C, Moda U.K, Birmingham’s Symphony Hall, The N.E.C and have made appearances at The Exeter Summer Music Festival, The Birmingham International Jazz Festival and the Prestigious Gypsy Jazz Festival L’Esprit Manouche.
