spycandy

SPY CANDY is 2 girls and 4 guys. A fun loving party band that delivers a high quality and entertaining show. Music ranges from Beyonce to Jackson Five, from the Bee Gees to Robbie Williams. For several years Spy Candy has been playing at corporate and private functions, clubs and festivals- with audiences from just hundreds to many thousands all over the UK and abroad. *With a host of excellent testimonials to their name they are a six piece 100% live band that really entertains

Costumes worn are from the Austin Powers and James Bond movies. However, the band can use more conventional stagewear on request.

All of the guys and gals in the band have been playing in working bands for many years. Dave ('Fat B*stard/ Charlie') has been playing in bands since the '60s, and appeared on Granada TV with his band in 1968. He also taught the younger ones all he knows- which took about 10 minutes!

Lynn ('Harmony') has been playing the bass since she was 9 years old and appeared on National TV in New Faces, along with her brother Dave ('Austin') in the same band. Dave was also an original member of the boyband 'Our Kid' who had a number 2 hit in 1976 with 'You Just Might See Me Cry'. Also, both Lynn and Dave have been in bands with Ian McNabb (Icicle Works) and Chris Sharrock (now Robbie Williams' drummer).

Matt ('James Bond') was the drummer in the resident band at Liverpool's Cavern Club for 6 years and has played percussion in War of the Worlds with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic. He has also played in bands for Michelle Gayle and Rose Royce, as well as supporting acts such as the Average White Band, Wishbone Ash and Atomic Kitten.

Pete ('Dr Evil') has been playing keyboards since he was 7 and has a BTEC in Performing Arts. He played in the Abba Mania theatre show at venues such as the Liverpool Empire and Manchester Opera House.

Amanda ('Melody') has been singing in bands for over 15 years, and has toured Europe as a professional singer. She's sung on Sky TV and been on Des O'Connor's Pot of Gold talent show.

Spy Candy - Additional Information

Spy Candy is a perfect band for your James Bond party or 007 themed event. The theme songs from the James Bond movies are magnificent and memorable, and great to set the mood when played throughout dinner. But, they don't provide an ideal choice for a band to play if you are looking for a dancing/ party atmosphere later.

Spy Candy's broad approach- covering James Bond, Austin Powers, Mission Impossible and Charlie's Angels - fits in perfectly, along with more specific things such as opening with Paul McCartney's 'Live & Let Die', an up tempo version of the 007 guitar riff theme.

To make your James Bond event go with a bang - book Spy Candy.

The group is fully self-contained and requires only standard power points. The group also provide a light show, which can include smoke (specially fire alarm compatible!)- All optional to suit the venue and the audience.

In addition, Spy Candy members carry full Public Liability Insurance from the Musician's Union and all electrical equipment is PAT certified.

The Replicators

Rock & Pop Function Band / Wedding Band

The Replicators are a fantastic all male rock, pop & indie band playing classic hits from Blur & Oasis to the Beatles and Queen. They are very well priced, have a great PA & lighting system, and travel anywhere in the UK.

About

Ok it's the biggest event of the year: a birthday; a wedding; an annual party; a corporate event but you need a live band to get everyone on their feet having a good time, playing the music that's right for you and your event. You want everyone to go home saying you're the best party organiser ever! Wow, that's some band you're looking for! But if you can't afford Robbie Williams, Elton John and Paul McCartney, you need The Replicators, the band that can do all this and more with personality, humour and a great set list!

Having been professional for almost 6 years now, The Replicators have made their living playing every event under the sun, including pubs, clubs and corporate chains like Yates' Wine Lodge, Brannigans, Chicago Rock Cafés and the Jumping Jaks chain of nightclubs, well known for it's non-stop party atmosphere. They've also shared the stage with some of the big names of the music industry such as Belinda Carlisle, 5 Star, Howard Jones, Liberty X, Chesney Hawkes, East 17 and 80s teen sensation Tiffany.

The Replicators can tailor their music and performance for any event and are more than willing to work closely with any client to ensure that the show provided is perfect for them in every way. They can play 2 x 45-minute sets; 3 x 45 minute sets; 2 x 1 hour long sets; in fact, anything that is required. If notified before the event, The Replicators can even play your favourite songs or special requests!

DJs can be provided if required, or alternatively, background music can be played through the band's professional PA system. The band can provide background music from the 50s to the present day, always tailored to your taste, making this part of the package as flexible as the band themselves.

The flexibility of the Replicator's repertoire is demonstrated by their popularity as a wedding band, many of their bookings being made from personal recommendations from other clients. Again, the band works hard to give the type of performance that suits the customer, hence their popularity.

Highlight gigs/venues include:
Hyatt Regency Hotel Jumeriah Beach, Dubai
Mathew Street Festival, Liverpool (4 years running!)
The Empire theatre, Belfast
The Olymia Theatre, Dublin
Feile An Phobail festival, West Belfast
Ocean Village cruises, Carribean and Mediterranean!
Liverpool University
Strathclyde University, Glasgow
Newcastle University, Newcastle on Tyne
Leeds University
University of Central England, Birmingham
The Robin 2, Bilston, West Midlands
Upcoming gigs in Finland and Gurensey

The Replicators encourage clients to choose the music they want so the following is simply a list of some of the favourites often played. Even if the band doesn't know a song they will learn it, if requested in advance of the event!

The band also know absolutely anything by The Police and Oasis, as they also do full tributes to these bands.
